The leaders of La Coruña club, suffering from financial difficulties, plan to sell one of their most expensive players, Jorge Andrade, this summer.
In the defender's contract, which is valid until 2009, there is a redemption clause of 60 million euros. However, it is likely that "Deportivo" will agree to release the footballer for a three times smaller amount - around 20 million euros.
"My client's career at Deportivo team is coming to an end," confirmed J. Andrade's agent. "At the moment, we are negotiating the best exit conditions for both parties."
According to media reports, "Valencia" club is currently leading the race for J. Andrade, offering Hugo Viana and/or Fabian Estoyanoff in exchange for the Portuguese defender, who is currently loaned to La Coruña team.
Previously, London's "Chelsea" and Barcelona teams were also mentioned, but if the English champions are still interested in the defender, the Catalans probably pay more attention to other players at the moment.
