The "Premier" League team announced that they have signed a contract with Belgian striker Emile Mpenza until the end of this season. Earlier this season, the Belgian played for the 'Al Rayyan' club in Qatar, and after the contract expired, he arrived in Manchester.
While participating in a "Man City" trial this week, Emile Mpenza scored a goal in a friendly match against "Blackpool" (3-0). However, the striker will not be able to help his new team in the weekend FA Cup quarter-final match against the "Preston" team, as he has not yet received a work permit.
Before moving to Qatar, the 28-year-old E. Mpenza played for 'Schalke' in Gelsenkirchen, 'Standard' in Liege, and 'Hamburg', as well as appearing in 47 matches for the Belgian national team and scoring 17 goals.
