According to reports in England, Leverkusen team striker Andriy Voronin is supposed to wear different jerseys from next season.
The Ukrainian national team footballer's contract with the Germans ends in less than half a year, so he can negotiate a transfer with any other club without permission from "Bayer". It is announced that A.Voronin has already agreed to join the "Liverpool" team and will soon sign a four-year contract.
The 27-year-old striker did not hide his desire to test his skills outside of Germany, where he arrived at the age of 18. After a defeat in the Bundesliga against "Hamburg," it was reported to the team that A.Voronin will continue his career in England, most likely with "Liverpool," although in December, Scottish "Celtic" showed a lot of interest in the services of the Ukrainian.
"I spent ten years in Germany, it's a very long period of time," said A.Voronin. "I want to experience something new."
This season, the Ukrainian played 20 matches, scoring 6 goals.
In Rafael Benitez's Liverpool team's starting lineup, A.Voronin will have to compete with other strikers such as Craig Bellamy, Peter Crouch, Robbie Fowler, and Dirk Kuyt. However, it is almost certain that at least one of them will have to look for a new team this summer.
