The Spanish "Primera" league club will have to play without their defender Adriano Correia for the next three weeks, who suffered a calf injury in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League sixteenth-final match against Romania's Bucharest "Steaua".

The 22-year-old Brazilian legionnaire suffered the injury in the first half of the match, which was won 2-0 against "Steaua" players on Thursday. Later, tests revealed that Adriano will be unable to play for the next three weeks. It is believed that the defender will only join the defending UEFA Europa League champions "Sevilla" in mid-March.

If "Sevilla" manages to advance to the quarterfinals of the tournament, the team would have to face the winner of the pair between Ukraine's Donetsk "Shakhtar" or France's "Nancy". The first leg between these teams in Ukraine ended in a 1-1 draw.

On Sunday evening, "Sevilla" will face Madrid's "Atletico" in the 23rd round of the country's championship, while the leaders "Barcelona" face a tough away match against "Valencia".

"Sevilla" currently occupies the 2nd place in the Spanish league and trails behind "Barcelona" by just three points.
