On Tuesday, four Lithuanian A Lyga clubs played friendly matches in training camps abroad. LFF Cup winner Marijampolė's Sūduva defeated Ukraine's top league outsider Lugansk's Zaria 3-1, Panevėžys Ekranas lost 1-2 to another Ukraine top league outsider Kharkov, Vilnius lost 0-2 to Russia First League club Yaroslavl's Shinnik, and champions Kaunas lost to Belarus' MTZ-Ripo by a minimal margin.

FBK 0 - 1 Minsk's MTZ-Ripo

Lithuanian champion FBK Kaunas, preparing for the new season in Turkey, lost 0-1 in their first friendly match against Minsk's MTZ-Ripo, who finished fourth in the Belarusian championship.

FBK Kaunas played with two different lineups in this game.

In Turkey, FC Vilnius also experienced their second preseason defeat, losing 0-2 to Yaroslavl's Shinnik, who finished last in the Russian Premier League last season.

"The game was quite even, they took their chances, and we did not," said Vilnius head coach Ivan Švabovičius.

Marijampolė 3 - 1 Lugansk's Zaria

In the Ukrainian resort town of Alushta, Marijampolė's Sūduva celebrated a victory in their friendly match. Sūduva defeated Lugansk's Zaria 3-1. Notably, Zaria is the most changed Ukrainian club during the winter break - they have 12 new players in their ranks.

According to the official Marijampolė club website, Darius Maciulevičius, Andrius Urbšys, and Tomas Mikuckis scored the goals for Sūduva.

Panevėžys 1 - 2 Kharkov

In Ukraine, Lithuanian vice-champions Panevėžys Ekranas suffered a defeat in their friendly match against Ukraine's Kharkov. The only goal for Panevėžys was scored by Dominykas Galkevičius in the 67th minute from 18 meters.

After the match, Ekranas head coach Saulius Širmelis admitted that the opponents had the advantage in the first half but failed to score: "In the second half, after Kharkov scored, both teams' efforts managed to level the result."
