Today, Madrid announced that Cesar Ferrando has become the new head coach of the team.
Ferrando, who previously coached another team in the Spanish top league, "Albacete", signed a one-year contract with "Atletico". Last week, the Madrid club parted ways with Gregorio Manzano, who had been in charge until then.
The appointment of the coach was publicly announced by "Atletico" sports director Tonis Munoz: "We want to confirm that Cesar Ferrando will lead the club next season. We believe he is the most suitable person to lead the team, so we have high expectations from him. He is exactly the type of coach we were looking for."
"Atletico" board was impressed by Cesaro Ferrando's achievements - the coach led "Albacete" to the highest Spanish division and managed to finish in 14th place in the first season.
