London club officials have stated that the dismissal of coach Alan Curbishley is not imminent, even after yesterday's painful defeat to another capital team with a score of 4-0.
Unofficially announced, it is said that the specialist has been given an ultimatum to change the situation in the upcoming matches and lead the team out of the relegation zone. Doing so will be particularly difficult on Saturday, after losing to one of the main competitors in this battle, as the gap from the 'safe' 17th place is already 6 points.
"We have no doubts about Alan's future in the team," said a club representative.
"Of course, everyone is disappointed with the result, but the chairman of the board believes in A. Curbishley's capabilities."
Interestingly, at the beginning of this season, the team was taken over by Icelandic businessman Eggert Magnusson, who initially supported the team's then strategist Alan Pardew, but in December he was eventually dismissed due to poor results.
However, A. Curbishley, who replaced his predecessor, also cannot boast of success yet - with him, West Ham has only won once in the English championship.
