On Sunday, the Carling Cup final took place at the "Millennium" Stadium in the capital of Wales, Cardiff, where London's Chelsea defeated Arsenal and won the first trophy of the season.

The Gunners scored first when seventeen-year-old Theo Walcott found the net after breaking through individually.
At the 20th minute, the score was tied, and after a pass from Michael Ballack, Didier Drogba scored the goal. The goal caused some controversy, as Drogba could have been offside.
At the beginning of the second half, Arsenal launched a couple of dangerous attacks, but Petr Cech stopped Vassiriki Diaby's shot, and Cesc Fabregas' shot missed the target completely.
In the 56th minute, Chelsea's captain John Terry suffered a serious injury – V.Diaby hit him in the head, and the Englishman with a neck brace was taken to the hospital.
The captain's injury seemed to awaken Chelsea – M.Flamini blocked a dangerous shot by D.Drogba, and Frank Lampard narrowly missed with a long-range shot.
The Blues broke ahead in the 84th minute. Arjen Robben passed the ball into the penalty area, where Didier Drogba headed past Manuel Almunia. A few minutes later, Andriy Shevchenko hit the crossbar.
During added time, Kolo Toure and John Obi Mikel clashed on the pitch, leading to a mass brawl, resulting in three players being sent off the field.
London's Chelsea maintained their lead for the rest of the game, won the League Cup, and secured their first title of the season.
