After this streak of failures, Torino club found itself close to the relegation zone, with only two points separating the team from it. The club president Urbano Cairo recently expressed confidence in Alberto Zaccheroni's work with this team, but after the humiliating defeat to Chievo, U. Cairo's patience ran out.
At the beginning of the season, G. De Biasi replaced A. Zaccheroni in the position of head coach, despite the fact that the latter led the club from a lower league to Serie A last season.
However, last summer the club experienced a failure in the Italian Cup, and G. De Biasi constantly expressed his dissatisfaction with the actions of the club leaders in purchasing new players. The strategist was also not popular among the team's fans, so the Italian was dismissed just three days before the new season, and A. Zaccheroni took his place.
But now both coaches have swapped places again - A. Zaccheroni at the helm of Torino replaced G. De Biasi. In the next match, under the leadership of G. De Biasi, Torino will play at home against "Cagliari", which occupies the 14th place.
A. Zaccheroni is already the eighth "Serie A" coach to lose his job this season. Recently, Stefano Pioli was dismissed from the position of head coach at Parma, replaced by Claudio Ranieri.
