In the English "Premier" league, the team holding the 10th place extended the contract with the midfielder David Bentley for another four years, until summer 2011.
Since 2001, D. Bentley belonged to "Arsenal", but in 2004 he was loaned to "Norwich", and in 2005 - to "Blackburn". Last summer, the "Rovers" bought out the contract of the 22-year-old former England Youth national team member. This season, the midfielder scored 6 goals.
It is said that D. Bentley has recently caught the interest of the "Man Utd" club.
"Blackburn" coach Martin Hughes praised his team's midfielder: "David has great talent and a bright future. I am pleased that we managed to extend his contract for a longer period. D. Bentley has shown his potential this season playing at the highest level."
