On Wednesday afternoon, two teams from the "A League" - Vilnius "Vėtra" and Klaipėda "Atlantas" - tested their strength at the Vilnius "Sportima" training ground. Both main teams and reserves of the capital's football teams participated in the matches, winning easy victories with scores of 2-0 and 3-0 respectively.

After the reserve teams, the main teams of "Vėtra" and "Atlantas" played. The home team could not count on the injured Nigerian Israel Douglas, while "Vėtra's" coach decided to field four defensive midfielders.
The Vilnius team controlled the midfield, making it difficult for "Atlantas" to advance towards their goal. Both goals were scored in the last part of the first half - at the 34th minute Vitalis Stankevičius passed the visitor's goalkeeper, and five minutes later Nerijus Sasnauskas scored with a header.
In the second half, "Vėtra" did not push forward aggressively, while "Atlantas" failed to create significant opportunities to score, resulting in a 2-0 victory for the home team.
After the game, "Vėtra's" coach Aleksandras Tarchanovas expressed satisfaction with the team's performance as they prepare for the upcoming Baltic Football League matches on March 6.
"We played well, our opponents didn't have any chances to score. We could have won by a larger margin, as we created many chances. The initiative was fully on our side until halftime, but the pace of the game slowed down in the second half. We are working to eliminate mistakes that have prevented us from achieving good results in previous matches. In the last games in Turkey against "Torpedo" and today, we demonstrated good football," said A. Tarchanovas.
When asked about Andrius Skerla's debut, "Vėtra's" coach replied: "He is a 'Master.' Skerla is a high-level footballer who will definitely strengthen our defense. I am happy to have such a player in our team."
