Glasgow goalkeeper Allan McGregor will have to miss two UEFA Cup matches due to a decision by the UEFA disciplinary committee. This means that the Scottish club will have to cope without their main goalkeeper in both quarter-final matches of this tournament against Spanish team "Osasuna" from Pamplona.
A. McGregor was sent off the field during the second leg match against Tel Aviv's "Hapoel" in the round of 16, which "Rangers" won 4-0 in the 73rd minute for attacking an opponent.
After reviewing the footage of this incident, the UEFA disciplinary committee decided to impose a two-match suspension on the goalkeeper.
"Rangers" club intends to appeal this decision.
