On Wednesday in Spain, three return leg matches of the King's Cup (Copa del Rey) quarterfinals were played. After losing at home, "Barcelona" managed to secure a victory away against "Zaragoza" and advanced to the next stage, while the Seville derby was interrupted after an object thrown from the stands hit the head coach of "Sevilla" who had just rushed forward. Because of this incident, serious sanctions are looming over the "Betis" club.

"Barcelona", Madrid's "Getafe" and La Coruña's "Deportivo" advanced to the semifinals of the tournament.
