On Thursday, March 1st, in Barcelona, ​​the draw for the 2007/08 European youth (under 19 and under 17) championship qualifiers took place, with 52 national teams, including the newly established Montenegro, divided into 13 groups.

The Lithuanian U-19 national team entered group 7 with teams from Armenia, Poland, and San Marino, and will play the qualifiers at home. The U-17 representative team will meet the local team as well as teams from Israel and Iceland in the matches taking place in Serbia.

Two teams from each group and the two best third-placed teams from all 13 groups will advance to the second stage. In the so-called Elite stage, the teams will be divided into 7 groups and the winners will earn tickets to the final tournaments in the summer of 2008, which will take place in the Czech Republic (U-19) and Turkey (U-17).
