The security guards of the Royal Madrid Club, David Beckham and Jose Antonio Reyes, will miss the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16 match against Munich. In the first match, "Real" won in Spain with a score of 3-2.
Both players suffered injuries in the 1-1 draw in the Spanish championship match against . J. Reyes injured his left knee tendons at the end of the first half after a collision with the visitors' goalkeeper. In the second half, a similar injury was suffered and D. Beckham, who injured his right knee tendons, was also substituted.
"Real" has already announced that D. Beckham and the seemingly seriously injured J. Reyes will miss the return Champions League match against the Munich team. J. Reyes will probably not play in the upcoming game in the Spanish championship against .
"Both players will definitely miss the match against the Munich team," says Real head coach Fabio Capello. "One of them (Reyes) suffered a serious injury, the other has a milder injury. We will do tests on Monday (today) and see what they reveal.
During the match against "Getafe," forwards Gonzalo Higuain and Ruud van Nistelrooy also suffered some injuries, but they are likely to be able to play in the next match.
