The Italian club has extended the contract with the second team goalkeeper from Australia, Željko Kalač, for another year until the summer of 2009.
Kalač in the ranks of "Milan" serves as the deputy to the main goalkeeper, Brazilian Dida. While Dida was recovering from injuries, the Australian played 7 matches in Serie A and 3 in the Champions League this season.
Kalač joined Milan in 2005 from the Serie B club "Perugia", previously representing the English "Leicester City" and the Dutch "Roda" teams.
A couple of weeks ago, Kalač kept a clean sheet for Milan in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Celtic in Glasgow. Both teams will meet again on Wednesday at the San Siro stadium.
