Yesterday three out of four matches of the eighth round of the Lithuanian Championship were played. The sole leader position was taken by Panevėžys "Ekranas", who crushed "Vilnius" 4-1 at home. The champion "Kaunas" failed to beat the underdog "Šilutė" away, while in Marijampolė "Vėtra" defeated local "Sūduva" and temporarily rose to the fifth place. The remaining match between "Žalgiris" and "Atlantas" will be played today at 18:00 in Vilnius.
