Last season, eight players from the "A lyga" are preparing for the 2007 championship - the team is looking for reinforcement in the review, which includes a former Lithuanian youth national team attacker, three Ukrainians, and two players from Belarus.
According to the official website of the Gardinas club, the "Šiauliai" team, currently training in Gardinas, played against Lida's "Obuvshchik" and won with a score of 1-0. The only goal of the match was scored by E.Blažys participating in the review.
The 21-year-old E.Blažys played for the Vilnius "Vėtra" team last season, but mostly remained on the bench, and his chances of establishing himself in the capital team further decreased when forwards Vitali Stankevičius and Severino Lima joined the club.
According to EuroFootball.com, E.Blažys was also of interest to Vilnius' "Žalgiris" as a replacement for Tadas Labukas who left for Romania, but despite this, the attacker went for a trial at the "Šiauliai" team this week.
Currently, three players from Ukraine and two from Belarus are also participating in the review in the Šiauliai club.
The next match for the Šiauliai team in Gardinas is against "Smorgon," which currently competes in the top division in Belarus and will take place on Friday.
