The goalkeeper of the Croatian national team from Donetsk, Ukraine, for a rumored sum of three million euros is moving to Moscow, with whom he signed a three-year contract.
28-year-old S. Pletikosa, who defended his homeland's goal 56 times, was only a reserve goalkeeper at the Ukrainian club as he was playing behind Bogdan Shust. Last season, he was loaned to the "Hajduk" team in Split, and this year, he only appeared three times in the Ukrainian club's lineup.
"Of course, I am happy. I am moving to a club that, like "Shakhtar", is ambitious and, most importantly, I will have the opportunity to play regularly," the Croat rejoiced.
"This is important both for me and for the national team," said S. Pletikosa.
