The Turin club, aiming to return to the highest level of Italian football, suffered their second defeat in the Serie B championships this season on Saturday. The team, in which Lithuanian Marius Stankevičius plays, was defeated by the multiple Italian champions with a score of 3-1.
Despite the defeat, Juventus remains the leader of Serie B with 49 points. However, Napoli's team, which played a draw against Rimini in this round, reduced the gap to two points.
The hero of the match was the Brescia striker Matteo Serafini, who scored three times in the first half.
The footballer scored the first goal already in the fourth minute of the match, when he passed the ball past Gianluigi Buffon, one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
In the 9th minute, Alessandro Del Piero equalized the score, but before halftime, after a pass from Marek Hamsik, M. Serafini once again put Brescia ahead. The Italian increased the lead during the added time of the first half.
M. Stankevičius started the match on the bench and appeared on the field after a substitution in the 73rd minute of the match.
