The Brazilian national team goalkeeper Dida has extended his contract with Milan until 2010 and denied rumors that he may leave the club.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper's contract with the team was set to expire at the end of this season, and there were reports in the press that the Brazilian would move to Barcelona.
This situation, along with the rejected offers to reconsider the contract terms, caused tensions between him and the club - especially with coach Carlo Ancelotti and the fans.
Nevertheless, on Saturday evening, the player put his signature under the contract and linked his future with the Milan team until June 30, 2010.
On the official club website, it was announced that when his teammates heard this news, they greeted Dida with applause during training.
