The head coach of the German Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund, Jürgen Röber, has resigned from his position. The strategist, who worked in Dortmund for only three months, justified his decision with poor results.
Borussia started the season with Bert van Marwijk, but in December, the team's leadership, dissatisfied with the achievements, dismissed him and appointed J. Röber as the new coach. He was supposed to lead the team at least until the end of the season.
With the new coach, Borussia beat Bayern Munich 3-2 in January, but later in 7 matches, they only earned 3 points. Currently, Dortmund's footballers have collected 28 points after 25 rounds and are in 13th place in the Bundesliga, only 4 points ahead of the last-placed club "Gladbach."
"This is a difficult situation. Thinking about the future of the club, I decided to step down," said J. Röber.
According to the German media, the candidates to become the new coach of Borussia this season are Felix Magath, who previously worked at Bayern, and Thomas Doll, who was sacked from Hamburg.
