Backup goalkeeper of an Italian "Serie A" club got involved in a scandal. Cocaine was found in his system.

On Monday, the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) announced that the sample taken from N.Caglioni after the match between "Messina" and "Catania" on February 11 (1-1) tested positive. Tests conducted at a laboratory in Switzerland revealed that the goalkeeper had used cocaine.

N.Caglioni joined "Messina" in 2005 from Bergamo's "Atalanta". This season, he defended his team's goal 9 times.

This is not the first similar case in Italian football this season. Earlier, corticosteroids were found in the body of "Milan" Marco Borriello, and "Sampdoria" forward Francesco Flachi was also caught using cocaine.
