The team of Scottish champions Glasgow has extended the contract with talented defender Darren O'Dea until 2010. The footballer is a product of the Celtic Football School, belonging to the club since 2004.
D.O'Dea made his debut in the main Celtic team last autumn and has already played 16 matches. The Irishman scored 3 goals in the Scottish championship. D.O'Dea also played in the first Champions League knockout round against Milan.
The contract includes the possibility to extend it for another year after its expiration.
Celtic is currently approaching its second consecutive Scottish champions title - with 8 rounds left until the end of the championship, they lead over Rangers by 16 points.
