The Portuguese national team on Monday secured their second victory in the World Cup and secured their place in the playoffs.
Bruno Fernandes scored both goals in the victorious match against Uruguay. However, initially the first goal was credited to Cristiano Ronaldo, but later it was decided that the former Manchester United player did not touch the ball after all.
C. Ronaldo himself was visibly unhappy after the match due to the "taken" goal and insisted that he did touch the ball.
It seems that the Portuguese Football Federation also supports their leader, as it has been announced that they will appeal to FIFA with evidence that it was indeed C. Ronaldo who scored the goal.
