Coach Steve Bruce acquired Turkish player Muzzy Izzet without a club. Additionally, "Birmingham" extended a contract with striker Stern John for another year.
M. Izzet signed a three-year contract. The Turkish player's previous club had been relegated to a lower division in England. It was after the relegation that the 29-year-old midfielder left the club. He was also being sought after by others.
"We are very pleased that Izzet decided to move to "Birmingham"," said S. Bruce.
M. Izzet, born in London, started his career at the club. In 1996, he moved to "Leicester" for 800 thousand pounds and became a key player for the "Foxes." In 342 appearances for the club, he scored 47 goals.
