After failing to qualify for the World Cup knockout stages, the mood in the German national team was mixed. Some experienced players tried to escape thoughts of ending their international careers, while others spoke very mysteriously.

Manuel Neuer said he still wants to represent "Die Mannschaft" team, but 33-year-old Thomas Muller spoke more mysteriously.

After the match, long-time attacking fullback of the German national team said: "If those were my last matches, then I want to say that it was a pleasure to represent the team.

"We experienced many wonderful moments together. In every match, I tried to leave my heart on the field. I did everything with love," - T. Muller spoke after the game against Costa Rica.

"Bayern" player played all three matches in this World Cup from the start, but did not score any goals or provide any assists.
