In the second division of Italy in terms of strength, the "Serie B" division matches took place on Tuesday. Lithuanian forward Tomas Danilevičius scored the second goal for "Bologna," while Marius Stankevičius's "Brescia" suffered a crushing defeat.
"Bologna" played away against "Modena," and the first half ended goalless. Just a couple of minutes into the second half, T.Danilevičius scored after a pass from the wing and put his team ahead with a second attempt.
However, in the 81st minute, a penalty kick was awarded to "Bologna," which was converted by Raffaele Longo. At the tense end of the match, home player Matteo Centurioni and the away team's coach Renzo Ulivieri were both sent off, but the result remained the same - 1-1.
"I dedicate this goal to my father - he was in the stands today," - T.Danilevičius said in an interview with the official "Bologna" website after the match. He had not been in the starting lineup since the 24th round match against "Piacenza" on February 17.
This was the fourth consecutive match without a win for Bologna, and they were surpassed in the standings by "Genoa," who moved up to third place after crushing "Brescia" 3-0 at home. M.Stankevičius played until the 65th minute.
In the championship, the multiple-time Italian champions, Turin's "Juventus" club, still lead the standings. They bounced back from last round's defeat by beating "Treviso" 1-0 and gaining a three-point lead over "Napoli," who played a goalless draw against "Vicenza."
