At Sunday evening's world football championship quarter-final match, France defeated Polish footballers with a score of 3:1.

The first goal of the match came in the 44th minute. After a pass from Kylian Mbappe, Olivier Giroud scored. This 52nd goal in his national team jersey made him the most prolific player in the history of the French national team. Previously, the record belonged to the legendary player Thierry Henry.

The second goal for the French team came in the 74th minute. After a quick counterattack, Kylian Mbappe scored with a powerful shot into the top corner of the goal.

Mbappe sealed the deal in the 90+1 minute of this match. With another fantastic shot, the attacker outsmarted the opposing goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny and scored his fifth goal in this World Cup.

Poland had the opportunity to score a "consolation goal" from the penalty spot. In the 90+8 minute, Robert Lewandowski converted a standard situation with his second attempt, making the final score 3:1.

In the quarterfinals, Didier Deschamps' players will face the winner of the Senegal - England pair.
