Spanish champion has extended the contract with defender Juliano Belletti until the summer of 2009. The previous contract was valid until 2008.
The 30-year-old right-back from Brazil became famous during last year's Champions League final in Paris with London's Arsenal. Then, after coming on as a substitute, he scored the second goal that led Barcelona to victory.
"Everyone in the changing room or club explained to me that what happened in Paris was the fruit of my professionalism. I believe that for this reason, and not because I scored a goal, the club extended the contract with me," said J.Belletti.
Brazilian with Italian citizenship started his career in his homeland, representing "Cruzeiro," "San Paulo," "Atletico Mineiro" clubs, and in 2002 he arrived at "Villarreal." In 2004, J.Belletti moved from this club to "Barcelona" and signed a 4-year contract.
