Daupils' "Dinaburg" has been disqualified from the Baltic Football League for agreed matches. The decision was made on Thursday by the Baltic Football League committee after analyzing the video footage of the match in Tallinn between Narva's "Trans" and "Dinaburg," as well as match delegate Ainar Vahtel's and chief referee Edmund Gaigalo's match reports.
Although almost the entire match was dominated by "Trans" soccer players, they were able to win the victory by scoring goals in the 89th and 2nd minute of added time.
After the match, reports immediately appeared in the Latvian press that the match was agreed upon, as the betting companies lowered the odds for "Trans"' victory and, according to the press, "the goals were very questionable."
BFL will also pass on all information to the police, who should start an investigation.
The statement also states that "Dinaburg" can still submit an appeal in writing regarding this decision until March 20.
UEFA and FIFA will also be informed about this scandal.
