After England's withdrawal from the 2022 World Cup, there were many questions about the future of coach Gareth Southgate. These speculations were finally dispelled by the English Football Association.
The General Director of the English Football Association, Mark Bullingham, stated in his announcement:
"We are pleased to confirm that Gareth Southgate will continue to serve as the coach of the England national team and will lead our team in the 2024 European Football Championship."
"Gareth and Steve Holland have always had our full support, and our preparation for the European Championship begins now."
The England national football team will play their first qualifying match for the 2024 European Championship against Italian footballers on March 23.
