Lionel Messi won a very prestigious individual award for the second time in his career.
After the successful end of the World Cup final, the 35-year-old forward was awarded the "Golden Ball."
The "Golden Ball" is given to the best player of the World Cup. Argentina's leader received this prize in 2014 as well, when they had to acknowledge Germany's advantage in the final (0:1) after extra time.
L. Messi finished the tournament with 7 goals and 3 assists. In the final match, which ended in a 3:3 draw in regular time, the forward scored a "brace."
Enzo Fernandez was named the best young player of the tournament, Emiliano Martinez received the "Golden Glove," and Kylian Mbappe won the "Golden Boot."
