Today, the Lithuanian Football Federation received some great news. For the first time in the history of Lithuanian football, the Lithuanian Football Federation has achieved second place in the first stage of the Intertoto Cup. Thanks to the long and successful cooperation with UEFA, the Lithuanian Football Federation managed to send two Lithuanian football clubs to the first stage of the Intertoto Cup. It is great that UEFA has recognized the efforts, merits, and participation of the Lithuanian Football Federation in various projects and activities.
The Lithuanian Football Federation officially announces that the second team participating in the Intertoto Cup first stage will be from Klaipėda.
The first Lithuanian football team participating in the Intertoto Cup matches, Vilniaus Vėtra, will play against FC Trans (Narva, Estonia) on June 20th at 18:30 at the "Žalgiris" stadium in Vilnius.
