As reported by "Daily Mail", the Portugal player, who is intensively wooed by Saudi Arabia's "Al Nassr", has had their offer increased.
Together with state leaders, the team that has conceived the project would shell out a whopping 1.2 billion euros over the course of seven years for the player.
Having accepted the invitation, C. Ronaldo is expected to "earn his keep" for the first one and a half years on the field, and the rest as an ambassador for Saudi Arabia.
The Arabs hope that the globally renowned player will be their trump card in the battle for hosting the 2030 World Cup.
Saudi Arabia plans to compete for the prestigious event, which would also take place in Egypt and Greece.
