One of the most controversial Spanish referees, Mateu Lahoz, will officiate very important "La Liga" championship matches.
It is announced that the referee has been appointed to officiate the Barcelona derby - between the teams of "Barcelona" and "Espanyol".
This match will take place on New Year's Eve, December 31st, at 15:00 Lithuanian time.
M. Lahoz's work has been criticized by more than one national team at the World Cup. Particularly discussed was the quarterfinal match between the Netherlands and Argentina, where a record number of yellow cards were shown.
Later, the Spaniard was "removed" from the work at the World Cup.
