On Sunday, the remaining two matches of the 29th round of the French "Ligue 1" championship were played. Both games ended with the same result of 1-0 - victories were achieved by the "Auxerre" and "Rennes" clubs, respectively defeating the teams of "Lens" and "P.S.G."
The victory of "Auxerre" was determined by a goal scored by the young Dane Thomas Kahlenberg in the 18th minute of the match. After this victory, the Auxerre team climbed to the 12th place in the tournament table. Meanwhile, "Lens", occupying the second position, would have been even further ahead of the closest pursuers with a victory, who also collected points in this round.
Furthermore, the situation continues to complicate for the capital's "P.S.G" club. The Paris team, already somewhat close to the relegation zone, experienced another failure in this round and is even closer to "Ligue 2". The only goal of the match for "Rennes" was scored in the 76th minute by Jimmy Briand, whose accurate shot allowed the team to earn three points and move up one position in the tournament table - from the 11th to the 10th.
