Vilnius football club invited forward Blaž Puc from Slovenia for a tryout. The 29-year-old footballer played for the clubs of Ljubljana "Olimpija" and NK "Maribor", and in recent years he has played in China for the team "Shenyang Ginde".
Interestingly, B. Puc participated in the tryout of Vilnius "Vėtra" before this season and was sent to a camp in Turkey. In friendly matches against Moscow's "Dynamo", the Slovenian even scored a goal.
Blaž Puc is 183 cm tall and weighs 71 kg. In his childhood, he played basketball, but due to an injury, he later chose football and even made it to the Slovenian youth national team. The player himself attributes his strengths to physical attributes and cunning on the field, while his weaknesses are considered to be a lack of technique.
As the Lithuanian team are still looking for a replacement for Tadas Labukas, who left for Romania, they have already tested several candidates for the attack. Previously, the team was not satisfied with the performances of Polish player Piotr Bania, Bulgarian player Stefan Todorov, and Slovak player Jan Kožiak.
For now, during friendly matches and Baltic League games, "Žalgiris" coach and president Arminas Narbekovas tends to rely on Valerijus Mižigurskis in the attack.
