Lithuanian youth (U-21) national team forward next season may represent another capital city team "Žalgiris" on loan from Vilnius. According to EuroFootball.com sources, negotiations between Vilnius clubs took place before E.Blažys went on trial at the "Šiauliai" club.
The player himself did not deny this information. When asked when the trial at "Žalgiris" will start, E.Blažys said: "I don't know yet, I'm currently injured."
The player confirmed that he would like to play for Vilnius "Žalgiris". This club has been actively looking for a forward lately - not only one foreign player has participated in the trials, currently Slovenian Blažas Pucas is training with the club.
Meanwhile, Vilnius "Žalgiris" president and head coach Arminas Narbekovas categorically denied this information: "Who is that? Blažys? I hear about him for the first time from you. I don't know anything, no one discussed anything with me."
A week ago, E.Blažys participated in the "Šiauliai" trials, who finished in eighth place last season, and played in friendly matches against "Vėtra".
"The clubs did not reach an agreement about me," the forward replied to the question why he didn't move to "Šiauliai".
However, according to EuroFootball.com reports, negotiations between Šiauliai and Vilnius clubs failed, as the people from Šiauliai wanted to buy the player, while "Vėtra" was only willing to loan.
This position was confirmed to the portal by "Vėtra", with whom E.Blažys still has a valid contract for a year. However, the bronze medalists from the last season refused to comment on the possible loan of the forward to another capital city club.
