Vilnius football club "Žalgiris" intends to loan several players to A league team Visagino "Interas", which has returned to the top league. This was confirmed by Vilnius club president and head coach Arminas Narbekovas to EuroFootball.com.
According to the team leader, defenders Marijus Krukovskis, Edgaras Rukštelė, as well as reserve team goalkeepers Darius Tamašauskas and Mantas Zagreckas, can travel to Visaginas. Former Žalgiris player Marius Kazlauskas is also training with the Visaginas team.
"If these players fit the Visaginas team, we will loan them out," said A. Narbekovas.
"Interas", which received a license to play in the A league on Tuesday, plans to play home matches at Vilnius "Žalgiris" stadium at the beginning of the season, until they sort out their own stadium.
Meanwhile, Slovenian Blaž Pucas is currently participating in a trial with "Žalgiris" as they search for a new striker.
"It is difficult to evaluate B. Pucas more seriously after just a few days, but I can say that he is a good, versatile player. Whether we will keep him in the team, we will decide later. We have received many offers from agents to acquire forwards. After acquiring a player in this position, we will complete the team's lineup," said A. Narbekovas.
