The Czech national team defender Jakub Jankto became famous for his brave statement.
In a published video recording, the 27-year-old footballer admitted to being of non-traditional sexual orientation.
"Like everyone else, I have my strengths and weaknesses.
Like everyone, I want to live freely without any fear or violence. Only with love. I am homosexual and I no longer want to hide it," the Czech said.
J. Jankto, who belongs to "Getafe," is currently on loan to Prague's "Sparta" team.
In 2018, the Czech reached the peak of his career when he was bought from Udinese for 15 million euros by Genoa's "Sampdoria."
He has played 45 matches and scored 4 goals for the Czech national team. He scored his first goal in 2017 while playing against the Lithuanian team.
