“Liverpool” club on Monday ended a series of three winless matches in the English “Premier” league, managing to defeat their principled opponents “Everton” with a score of 2:0 at home.
However, the match could have taken a different turn when in the 36th minute “Everton” hit the post after a corner, and just moments later “Liverpool” scored the first goal of the match on a counterattack.
After the match, “The Reds” manager Jurgen Klopp said that that moment determined the course of the game, but the German is convinced that his team deserved the victory.
“Those few seconds from “Everton” hitting the post to our first goal could change our season.
Last week, a similar episode happened when “Wolves” scored a goal and essentially changed the game. That was the biggest difference between these and previous matches.
“I think it was our best performance in recent times. It's always important to win, but it's much more enjoyable when you do it by playing better than the opponents”, - communicated J. Klopp to “Sky Sports”.
