“Liverpool” team fans should not expect a change of ownership in the near future.
Current club owner John Henry revealed that there are no such plans.
It is worth reminding that in November of last year it was announced that Fenway Sports Group (FSG) was considering inviting new shareholders.
According to J. Henry, he would welcome new investors, but intends to keep the team's reins in his hands.
“I know there have been many discussions and quotes about ‘Liverpool,’ but I stick to the facts - we are just formalizing an ongoing process.
Will we be in England forever? No. Are we selling the club now? No. Are we talking about investors? Yes, and I think something could happen, but we will not sell the team,” said J. Henry.
