Former Panevezys "Ekranas" and Lithuanian national team goalkeeper will continue his career in Latvia - official website of Daugavpils "Daugava" (formerly "Ditton" until 2007) announces the signing of a one-year contract with the footballer.
The 26-year-old player, who represented the "Ekranas" team for more than eight seasons, signed a contract with a Latvian club after finishing in fifth place in the "Virsliga" last year. In January, he also traveled to Ukraine and tried his luck with the "Kryvbas" team.
Last season, in which "Ekranas" finished second in the Lithuanian championship, A. Kučys played 34 matches in the "A lyga." In 2005, the goalkeeper became a national champion with Panevezys, but a serious injury during the season kept him from playing until the end of the year.
After the injury, A. Kučys lost his place in the Lithuanian national team, where he played ten matches from 2002 to 2005.
