The Munich club has officially confirmed interest in 21-year-old player Marcell Jansen, who currently plays for the club and represents the German national team.
The young defender played very successfully in the European Championship qualifying matches against the Czech Republic and caught the attention of Bayern Munich.
"I am very happy that Bayern is interested in me," Jansen stated, but added: "As long as Gladbach is fighting to stay in the Bundesliga, I will not negotiate with another club."
In the match against the Czechs, Jansen played as a left-back, while Philipp Lahm, who usually played on the left defensive side, was moved to the right side.
It is believed that these positions of the defenders could also be in the Bayern club. Jansen himself claims that he wants to play as a left-back.
