On Tuesday, a meeting of the Appeals Licensing Committee of the Lithuanian Football Federation took place, during which the appeals of eight football clubs from the LFF I League seeking to play matches were satisfied.

At this stage of decision-making, licenses were granted to the following clubs: Gargzdai "Banga", Jonava "Lietava", Ukmerge "Vilkmergė", Plunge "Babrungas", "Anykščiai", Taurage "Tauras", Kaunas "Spyris", Kaunas "Rodiklis".

On March 13th, the LFF Licensing Committee in the first stage of decision-making had already granted licenses to "Alytis", Klaipeda "Glestum", Pakruojis "Kruoja" as well as Kaunas "LKKA". The right to play in the LFF I League was also granted to Kėdainiai "Nevėžis", which holds an "A League" license.

As noted in the LFF statement, "Lietava", "Vilkmergė", "Anykščiai", and "Nevėžis" will have to complete specific infrastructure improvement works at their chosen stadiums before the start of the LFF I League season. Failure to implement the directives of the Appeals Licensing Committee by the specified dates will result in the strictest sanctions as provided in the rules for these football clubs.

Meanwhile, "Anykščiai" and "Tauras", who entered the LFF I League from a lower league, were granted exceptions in the first season after promotion based on the LFF I League football club licensing rules regarding two infrastructure criteria - 200 individual seats and seating characteristics. Both clubs will have to implement these two criteria by the month of September.
