Two London clubs - Arsenal and Chelsea - will have to pay fines of up to 100 thousand pounds each for the players' fights during the Carling Cup final.
The country's football association FA also issued reprimands to the teams for the incident at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
Not only players from both teams were involved in the scuffle, but also officials, and three players - Arsenal duo Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure, and Chelsea defender Obi Mikel - were shown red cards by the referee.
The commission acknowledged that the greater share of blame for the conflict should be taken by the representatives of the Gunners, but the fines are equal, as Chelsea has received several warnings in recent years for improper player behavior.
The biggest personal punishment fell on Emmanuel Adebayor, who attempted to strike Frank Lampard without hiding his emotions, resulting not only in missing three matches due to suspension, but also in paying a fine of 7.5 thousand pounds.
Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger faced FA's displeasure after the final, stating that the entire refereeing system is unfair, and the linesman who decided to send off his team's striker lied.
