Croatian national team coach Zlatko Dalić was disappointed with the FIFA organized best player awards.
The 56-year-old specialist refused to vote and demanded more respect for his small team.
“I am very disappointed with FIFA's attitude towards the Croatian team.
I believe that considering what we have achieved, the Croatians deserve more respect from the global football organization.
We are the only team that managed to advance to both the World Cup and the UEFA Nations League semifinals.
In Qatar, we made headlines around the world by defeating Brazil - the best team.
Last year in Paris we beat the French, in Copenhagen - the Danes. In 23 matches since "Euro 2020," the Croatian team lost only twice”, - Z. Dalić listed.
According to the coach, FIFA made a mistake by including only Luka Modrić as a contender for the best player award. The organization also ignored Z. Dalić's own achievements, as well as goalkeeper Dominik Livaković's performances.
