The French football community is mourning. It is reported that the legendary player Just Fontaine, who was 89 years old, passed away in Anapilis.

In the past, the Frenchman was known for an incredible record at the World Cup.

In the 1958 World Cup in Sweden, J. Fontaine managed to score a staggering 13 goals - a feat that no other footballer has surpassed to this day.

However, even such a performance by the French player did not guarantee gold medals - in the semi-finals, they were defeated 2:5 by the future champion Brazil and eventually finished in third place overall.

In club football, he played for less famous teams such as "Casablanca," "Reims," and "Nice."
