On Wednesday, friendly matches took place between national teams that did not play in the 2008 European Championship qualifiers - Germany, with not the strongest lineup, suffered an unexpected defeat against Denmark, while France narrowly beat Austria.
The coach of the French national team, Raymond Domenech, tested several new players against Austria, including 19-year-olds Samir Nasri and Karim Benzema. These two young talents created the only goal of the match - K. Benzema scored after S. Nasri's penalty kick in the 53rd minute.
